Gan: track where you've been and where you're going
Gan is a free travel map built in Scotland. Count the countries you've visited, plan the trips you're taking next, keep a wishlist, add photos, and compare your map with friends.
What you can do
- Count how many countries you've been to, with your percentage of the world and a breakdown by continent
- See every country you've visited on a world map and 3D globe
- Plan where you're going next and keep a wishlist of places you want to see
- Compare your travels with friends: countries you've both been to, and ones neither of you has
- Keep separate maps for your children, babies, pets and relatives, private by default with a child lock
- Build a timeline of trips with photos and passport stamps
Private by design
There is no background location tracking. Family profiles are private by default: the child lock stops a profile being made public, and you choose which friends can view it. Friends can only view, never edit.
Why Gan Far?
Gan Far reads as "go far" in English. In Doric, the Scots dialect of north-east Scotland, "far" means "where" and "gan" means "going": where are you going?
Gan is built in Scotland by Nicole Christie, inspired by seeing the world beyond your doorstep. About Gan ยท Gan compared with Been, Polarsteps and others
